Jennifer Matthews, Esq.
Ms. Matthews has spent her entire legal career practicing in criminal law,
having been both an Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore City
and as an Assistant Public Defender. Her experience on both sides of the
aisle enables her to provide thorough and insightful representation.
She graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration
in litigation and advocacy. While at the University of Baltimore, Ms.
Matthews served as Manuscripts Editor of the Journal of Environmental
Law, Vice-President of the Student Bar Association, and competed on two
national moot court teams. Ms. Matthews clerked under the Honorable Stephen
M. Waldron on the Circuit Court for Harford County.
As an Assistant Public Defender, she represented thousands of clients at
parole revocations hearings before the Maryland Parole Commission for
over 7 years. Ms. Matthews is a certified mediator. She is admitted to
practice in Maryland and federal District Court.
